Płock within your reach

Płock within your reach

The Nobiscum Foundation is pleased to announce its new project, which we implement for everyone in Płock in 2021 thanks to funding received in the 10th edition of the competition for non-governmental organizations of the Grant Fund for Płock.

Płock within your reach is a series of 10 films available online via the foundation’s website and our social media channels, thanks to which we will tell you about the history of Płock monuments – those currently existing in the city space, but also those that have disappeared. We will look at places usually inaccessible to visitors, tell you about interesting facts, discover unknown information, talk with the administrators of these monuments and history enthusiasts. While visiting the location, we will also tell you about people – entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, social activists, representatives of various nationalities and religions who have co-created Płock for years, and the whole world uses the achievements of some of them to this day.

All the films will be availabe in Polish, with Polish and English subtitles.

In the first episode of the series, Gabriela Nowak-Dąbrowska discusses the history of the synagogues of Płock, of which one survived in the city space, but from the film you will also learn about other interesting facts: do you know that in 1872 there were as many as 45 private prayer houses in Płock? We invite you to watch the film on our facebook, Youtube and Vimeo channels!
